Designer’s Notes
This Fox & Chave silk tie features a botanical design of fruits and leaves set against a soft blue background. The pattern originates from a work by the British architect and interior designer C.F.A. Voysey (1857–1941).
Voysey originally created this design around 1900 for use as curtains or wall hangings for G.P. & J. Baker, where it was first produced at the Swaisland Print Works in Crayford, England.
G.P. & J. Baker Ltd, founded in 1884, is a renowned British company celebrated for its premium wallpapers and fabrics. Their work blends historic influences with traditional craftsmanship, and the brand is especially well known for collaborating with artists and design houses to create timeless yet contemporary decorative textiles.
Styling
A Fox & Chave silk tie is best styled with a classic Windsor or half-Windsor knot and suits a range of collar shapes. For maximum impact and to showcase the richness of the design, a cutaway or spread collar is recommended.
